Registration step by step

University College Stockholm is connected to the national grading system LADOK where courses and grades are registered. We also use the Canvas learning platform for course homepages. On the platform, teachers provide information about the course and study material. To log in to Ladok and Canvas, you must obtain an eduID.  If you do not have a Swedish personal identification number, you cannot obtain an eduID and you will need to contact the course administrator (kursadministrator@ehs.se) for help with registration and access to Canvas.

Create an eduID account as soon as possible, since the confirmation of your account can take some time

Required course literature

It is very important that you obtain course literature well in advance of each course start. In order for you to be able to read all the literature and take well advantage of the courses, access to the course literature is essential. The library has course literature that can be borrowed, but only for very short periods. Therefore, most students buy the course literature themselves. Here are some helpful links:

Information about University College Stockholm’s library: Library

There is a Facebook group where students can buy and sell used books in the field of Human Rights. Search for “MR-böcker”

Lectures and seminars

Note that class attendance is mandatory. This includes lectures as well as seminars and group work.

If you register for a course, but are unable to start or to complete the course, it is important that this is reported to kursadministrator@ehs.se as soon as possible.

If you have a long-term disability

If you have a documented long-term disability that affects your studies, you can apply for special pedagogical support. The application should be made in a system called NAIS. It is important that you upload necessary documentation stating your disability with your digital application. All documentation is kept confidential. Here is a link to the website: NAIS

Please also contact the coordinator for special pedagogical support at University College Stockholm:
Monica Helles, 08-564 357 04.

Student Union and compulsory membership fee

The Student Union participates actively in the educational development at University College Stockholm. Membership in the student union is mandatory. The membership fee (SEK 150 per semester) is paid a few weeks after the start of the semester when an invoice is sent by e-mail to all students. More information about this can be found here (in Swedish): Student union membership.

On behalf of the Student Union we also send a record of all registered students to Studentkortet, who provides all students with a student card that gives access to a wide range of special offers and discounts for students.

Student information via e-mail

The university uses e-mail to send information to you. We send to the email address you have entered on Antagning.se and therefore it is important that you keep your contact information on Antagning.se updated.
